TRIPLEX MODEL SHOW
On this project I explored the transformative power of basic model-making. Recognising the pivotal role visual observation and precise physical measurements play in design, to learn the potential of materials like cardboard and triplex.
The aim of this project was to bridge the gap between concept and reality, ultimately providing a practical solution to design challenges.

Through this exploration, I've discovered the nuanced interplay between materiality and creativity, highlighting the unique advantages that cardboard and triplex present in the iterative design process.
Method:

Draughting - I used masking tape to trace out all the basic components of the shoe to get accurate proportions

Pattern Making - I created a pattern of all the individual panels of the shoe on tracing paper, which will be later used to transfer the elements on to a triplex board

Assembly - I tracde out all the patterns onto a triplex board. Cut them out, and began to assemble them with a strong adhesive

Finishing - Once the basic mould has been created, I created the decorative aspects of the shoe to give it a completed feeling
